Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance
Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is a co-op action RPG set in the Forgotten Realms’ Icewind Dale, developed by Tuque Games (now Invoke Studios) and published by Wizards of the Coast in 2021 — on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. I worked on it as a Gameplay Programmer at the studio.
- Built AI, progression, and encounter logic for major boss fights — Hagedorn, Icewind, and the Lich — working closely with designers
- Developed core AI aggro behavior with GOAP (goal-oriented action planning)
- Created skill tree functionality by integrating a scalable progression system and accompanying UI
- Created and maintained an extensible gameplay debugger that interfaced with live gameplay systems
- Diagnosed and fixed major game-breaking issues, including unresponsive and rubberbanding enemies
