Tricky Block: All Mixed Up!

Developed under SkopWorks, Tricky Block is an action-puzzle game about sliding, sorting, and matching coloured blocks into groups before the grid fills up.

  • Implemented Tricky Block using the proprietary in-house game engine 2LoC
  • Maintained code to work with 2LoC while the engine was being continuously updated for further functionality
  • Developed mechanics for spawning and sliding blocks
  • Worked with designers to improve touch controls
  • Integrated sound using OpenAL and AVAudioPlayer
  • Integrated user tracking through Flurry Analytics
  • Integrated monetization functionality through Chartboost Ads and in-app purchases
  • Implemented Facebook and Parse SDK to allow users to automatically save their progress online
  • Assisted designers with troubleshooting and debugging
